Der Vimmerby Marktplatz "Torget" ist das Herz unserer kleinen Stadt. Fakten-reicher Rundum-Blick:
Das alte Rathaus, der Amor-Springbrunnen, das ehrwürdige Stadthotel, der Sommer-Bullerbü-Spielplatz, der beste Buchladen in town und …das Eis-Café als spätere "Ziel-Linie".
Vimmerby-Geschichte und ASTRID-Plätze
Gemeinsam bummeln wir durch die alten, gemütlichen Gassen der Stadt, schauen uns die ältesten Gebäude an und entdecken die ein oder andere charmante Vimmerby-Geschichte und ASTRID-Plätze.

The Vimmerby town square "Torget" is the heart of our little town. A fact-filled 360-degree view: The old Town Hall, the Amor Fountain, the esteemed Stadshotell, the summer "Bullerby" playground, the best bookstore in town, and… an Ice Cream Café as our likely "finish line."

Together, we’ll stroll through the old, cozy alleys of the town, look at the oldest buildings, and discover charming Vimmerby stories and ASTRID locations.

November 1989, the fall of the Wall - my wondrous GATEWAY into a new, traveling FREEDOM. InterRail through all of Europe & my most important realisation:“The limits of my language mean the limits of my world!" - L. Wittgenstein.
LANGUAGE is the key to the world!Social Studies in Halle & intensive English+Spanish on the side. Lived and worked in Switzerland, Thailand, Hong Kong & studied MFL in Hull/England. Hospitality, humanity, trust, tolerance & optimism - a new, different ME - after 6 years abroad and travelling to over 30 countries.Then… for 20 years, my first Passion Project “Der LernLaden” in Halle: teaching languages, creating culture & building networks. Ever since, I continue my journey as independent lecturer - inspiring and empowering preschool teachers to foster a love for the German language in the hearts of children. And in the middle of it all, my most beautiful calling: being ANTON’s (born 2006) MAMA."Be wise. And stick to MIRACLES!" - “my” Mascha Kaléko.… and in 2021, a wonder-filled new beginning in Vimmerby. Learning Swedish as the greatest challenge, daily trial and error, searching for meaning and finding it -"Det kommer att lösa sig!" (It will all work out!).
